Delicate aromas of chamomile, kefir lime, white tea, peach blossom and lemon zest, and a subtle hint of tennis ball. On the palate it is vibrant and textured, offering flavors of pomelo, nectarine, creamy lemon curd and zesty lime pith, leading to a long, chalky mineral finish. Fresh yet structured, with excellent aging potential. A brilliant match for seared scallops, citrus‑marinated seafood, sushi, pork belly, or goat cheese. Also a pleasure on its own.
This wine is crafted from Tantalus’s historic 1978 “old vines,” primarily from Block 5 on the East Kelowna slopes. Harvested in mid‑October then whole‑cluster pressed and fermented slowly at 11–12 °C over ~45 days. Bottled after two years of rest prior to release. Residual sugar is 7.1 g/L; acidity is bright and precise.
