Côtes du Rhône, France - 100% Syrah
Located in the heart of Gigondas, has been owned by the Barruol family since 1490. This particular wine is crafted from 100% Syrah grapes grown on the stony Villafranchian terraces of the Gard, known for their limestone sand, red clay, and pebbles. The nose reveals bright berry fruits and licorice, leading to a medium-bodied palate with elegant flavours of red currant and gingerbread. The wine's peppery components pair well with spicy barbecue dishes, grilled meats, and hearty stews. Its balanced acidity and smooth tannins also complement aged cheeses and charcuterie.
