Barbera is rarely found in South Africa, with just 50ha in total so to see a winemaker like Reenen working with this variety now is truly exciting. Expect nuances of fresh cherries, blackberries, and perhaps a hint of cranberry, and touch of violets finishing with clove and pepper. This is a great patio sipper, we recommend to serve it slightly chilled. We all love a good chilled red!
