Macedonia, Greece – Xinomavro, Limniona & Mavroudi
Aromas of strawberry, cherry, and tangerine, with a floral lift and — this is the fun part — a distinct note of fresh tomato, which is one of the signature smells of the Xinomavro grape. There's a fine herbal note in there too. It's medium-bodied and layered, with wild strawberry and raspberry flavours and a savoury finish that lingers — crisp, dry, and clean, with pink grapefruit and red currant on the palate.
Pour it with pasta, pizza, fish, salads, and cheese, or anything Greek or Mediterranean — it's also a knockout with roast turkey or salmon.
