Veneto IGT, Italy - 100% Tai Rosso
Aromatic and fruity on the nose, with notes of blueberry and raspberry that are echoed on the palate and a light touch of tannin on the finish. A red that can drink nicely on it’s own though it’s a classic match for mixed boiled meats and salted cod, otherwise just as happy alongside a hearty risotto or cured salumi like soppressa veneta.
Grown in the Acque area of the Berici Hills near Lonigo on clayey soil and certified organic. Hand harvested into small 200 kilogram crates, then macerated on its own skins for 60 days before resting five months on the yeasts in steel tank, resulting in an approachable easy to drink red.
