Luc Poullain cultivates vineyards in the chalky soils of the Touraine region. His cellar is carved into the limestone, or Turonian Calcaire, that looms over the popular Route des Varennes. Luc is a truly independent artisan, working with the limestone both from above and in its cool, humid caves. For over a decade, he has also served as the president of the AOP Chenonceau, named after the iconic castle and its surrounding vineyards.
