Morro d’Alba, Marche, Italy — 100% Lacrima
A delicate rose-petal colour with fine, lively bubbles sets the stage for floral violets, wild rose and hints of golden apple on the nose, framed by a slightly herbaceous lift. The palate is dry and fresh with subtle currant and sweet almond notes, a harmonious balance of brightness and gentle fruit, and a clean persistent finish. Serve chilled with crisp seafood, fried fish, light salads with citrus, or as a bright aperitif at celebrations.
Lacrima is a rare, aromatic red grape native to Morro d’Alba, traditionally known for its intensely floral character and delicate skin, which “weeps” juice during ripening, giving the grape its name.
