Vin de France (Rhône Valley) – Clairette Rose & Sauvignon
Aromas of ripe pear, white peach, and lemon blossom lead the way, wrapped in a subtle floral lift and a lick of Mediterranean herb. There's citrus blossom and ripe stone fruit on the nose, with a stony mineral edge drawn straight from its rest in stoneware jars. Palate is bright, dry and fresh while the finish carries a saline edge that leaves an impression of purity and balance.
Pour it as an aperitif, or bring it to the table with oysters, grilled prawns, chèvre on toast, or a simple herbed roast chicken. The name nods to the Roman household gods of hearth and pantry.
