Beaujolais, France – 100% Chardonnay
Aromas of green apple, pear, and lemon, with a bit of white peach and a clean chalky note underneath. The producer sums it up as mineral and fruity — Chardonnay finding a home in Beaujolais, and the result is a treat. It's aromatic and creamy in the mouth but still bright and easy to drink.
The classic pairing here is Bresse chicken in a cream sauce, but the domaine also points to fresh tagliatelle, salmon, sole, trout with almonds, and goat cheese — and it works right across poultry, fish, shellfish, and white meats. Serve it cold, around 9–11°C.
