California, USA – Blend (Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Barbera)
Juicy raspberry, strawberry and ripe cherry jump from the glass, with hints of pepper spice, dried herbs and subtle earthiness. The palate is bright, driven by fresh acidity and well integrated fruit. There is a touch of stem or carbonic lift in selected lots, giving a bit of wild, playful character. The finish is smooth and savoury, with lingering spice and berry echo. Try it with grilled lamb chops, herb-crusted pork loin, mushroom ragout, or charcuterie with peppery salumi and firm cheeses. Also works lovely with tomato-based pasta or BBQ chicken.
