Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada – 70% Chardonnay, 28% Pinot Blanc, 2% Syrah
Aromas of strawberry and cherry lead the nose. On the palate, raspberry and melon carry through, light-bodied and dry, finished off by the fine, soft bubbles of the Charmat method, the wine's only real secondary layer, since there's no oak or lees aging here to build further complexity.
This would be great with a watermelon-jalapeño-feta gazpacho, grilled cheese sandwiches, or seafood pasta.
