Limoux, France – Equal parts Grenache, Syrah & Cinsault
Aromas of wild strawberry, white peach and a twist of grapefruit peel with herbs and crushed stone. The palate has juicy red fruit balanced by bright citrus and a touch of salinity, with a mineral finish. Great for sunny afternoons, tapas, fried seafood, grilled prawns, or tomato salads.
Christian Collovray and Jean-Luc Terrier — of Mâcon's Domaine des Deux Roches — branched south to Limoux in 1997, renaming the estate Altugnac in 2020 after the historic name for the village of Antugnac.
