Aromas of intense wild berries and dark forest fruit, deep and brooding, with a warm, concentrated richness. The palate is bold and full-bodied, velvety and richly structured, with ripe dark-fruit carried by smooth tannins and a long, satisfying finish. Pair it with cured meats and salumi, grilled or braised red meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses.
Made in the appassimento style, meaning the grapes are partially dried after harvest to concentrate their sugars and flavour before pressing. The same method behind Amarone and the wine is then aged 18 months in wood.
