Tuscany, Italy — 100% Sangiovese
Aromas of fresh spice and crunchy red fruit over elegant floral and mineral notes. The palate is fine and fruity with that same elegant mineral edge, with soft floral notes and a compact, well integrated tannin lifted by fresh acidity. The finish is long and savoury. This would also be great with grilled Italian sausage and roasted peppers, and for something vegetarian, perfect with a mushroom and thyme tart.
This wine was aged in terracotta amphorae from a town near Florence famous for its centuries old terracotta craft.
