Bordeaux, France — 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Gris
Lifted notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, green apple and hints of honeysuckle and fresh herbs. The palate is crisp and lively, driven by salty minerality and vibrant citrus acidity, yet rounded by soft stone-fruit and orchard fruit flavours. It’s a beautifully balanced dry white that shines as an aperitif, with oysters or littlenecks, grilled prawns with lemon, sushi, ceviche, or goat cheese tartines. Château Recougne is a family-owned Bordeaux estate cultivated by the Milhade family since the 1930s, located on the Right Bank in Gironde. Best known for their classic Bordeaux Supérieur reds, yet they designate a small parcel of clay-limestone vineyards yields for their blanc.
