The nose opens with espresso, incense, floral lift, dark plums, chocolate, mocha, sweet spice and caramel. The palate is medium-bodied yet richly luscious, unfolding creamy black-cherry core wrapped in spice and chocolate layers. The finish is long, vibrant, mineral-tinged and fruit-packed. Serve beautifully with roasted lamb, grilled steaks, mushroom risotto, aged Comté or Gruyère cheeses, or as a plush, contemplative sip after dinner. Owned by the Milhade family since 1996, spans ~25 ha of clay-limestone soils in Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes.
