Lugana DOC, Italy – 100% Turbiana
Aromas of fresh melon, mandarin and grapefruit, along with crisp, juicy white fleshed fruit, a whisper of mint and delicate florals. The palate is dry and savoury with a lively freshness and a mineral edge that fills the mouth, finishing on a lovely almond note. Pour it as an aperitif to welcome guests, or bring it out with lake fish starters like trout or eel. Serve it well chilled, between 8 and 10°C.
The vineyard is in Rovizza di Sirmione, 330 metres from the lake and 66 metres above sea level, on sedimentary morainic clay soils.
