McLaren Vale, South Australia – 100% Shiraz
Vines aged between 30 to 70 years, the grapes are handpicked and undergo wild yeast fermentation. A deep ruby red colour with vibrant purple highlights. The nose is floral, offering lifted spice, rose petal, and high-toned cherry/plum fruit, with subtle violet notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with vibrant, juicy flavours echoing the nose, unhindered by new oak. The texture is silky and fine, culminating in a balanced and elegant finish. Great with barbecued beef ribs, lamb tagine, mushroom and truffle risotto, beef bourguignon, and aged Gouda cheese. Hungry? We are!
