Rioja Alavesa, Spain – 100% Tempranillo
Aromas of ripe mulberry, redcurrant, and cherry intertwine with notes of tobacco, toasted oak, and sweet spice. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with creamy tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, elegant finish. Perfect for summer entertaining, it pairs beautifully with grilled chorizo skewers, seared tuna steaks, BBQ portobello mushrooms, stuffed piquillo peppers, or a charred corn salad with Manchego. Sourced from old vines averaging 45 years, grown in chalky clay-limestone soils at 450–550 m elevation. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged 16 months in a mix of 73% American and 27% French oak, 20% new, for depth and structure.
