Tuscany, Italy – 100% Sangiovese
Intense, spicy bouquet of red fruits such as bright cherry, dried herbs, and a streak of earthy savouriness. An added depth and polish that comes from 24 months of aging. Silky tannins and a clean, lingering finish.
Excellent food wine. Pair it with pasta Bolognese, wood-fired pizza, roasted lamb, Florentine-style steak, or aged Pecorino. It also shines alongside braised wild mushroom dishes or a simple charcuterie board. Founded in 1927 by Alberto Bartali and his wife Leda Pucci on the slopes of Monteriggioni in the heart of Chianti.
