Catalonia, Spain – 70% Carignan (Samsó), 30% Grenache (Garnatxa)
Aromas of juicy cranberries and mulberries, with hints of spices, balsam, and flowers. On the palate, it is fresh and straightforward, with wild berries, a delicate minerality, and notes of Mediterranean undergrowth. The wine has robust tannins, very good acidity, and a long finish. Ideal pairings include roasted lamb, grilled mushrooms, or hearty stews. Sourced from old native vineyards ranging from 35 to 65 years old, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 15 days, followed by fermentation and malolactic fermentation in second-year French oak barrels.
