Aromas of ripe cherries and warm baking spices. On the palate it is full-bodied and powerful, with rich dark fruit layers balanced by plush yet firm tannins. The finish is harmonious and lingering. Great with grilled or roasted meats (lamb, beef), game, tomato-based stews, aged pecorino or other mature cheeses, and dishes with earthy mushrooms or black pepper. Sannio, Campania known for its mountain vineyards and expressive volcanic influences. The wine is sometimes nicknamed “the Barolo of the South” due to its structure and ageing potential.
