Corbières, France - 60% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 10% Syrah
Generous red fruit aromas of fresh cherries, orange peel, blackberries, cacao powder, and faint liquorice notes. Typical notes of the garrigue herbs (Lavender & Rosemary). On the palate it is round with a medium body, accompanied by fine, dusty tannins. This wine sits at 13% abv.
Smooth enough it can be enjoyed on it's own, or try it with soft cheeses like goat, raw, or even blue cheese such as Roquefort. Roasted game meats like leg of lamb, grilled meats, or Cassoulet bean stew. If you like dry wine with your dessert, try a piece or two of dark chocolate.
This Thanksgiving will be perfect with any lamb focused dish or smoked turkey!
