Wairarapa, New Zealand – 100% Pinot Gris
Aromas of apricot, nectarine and green pear, with a rich, rounded middle and a dry, crisp finish carrying a hint of warm spice. Half the juice ferments in older French oak and half in tank, so it tastes fresh but has a creamy texture. Made by Paddy Borthwick, a fifth-generation farmer, on his family’s sustainable estate in Gladstone, where the vineyard grows on old stony river terraces.
Perfect for roast pork with pear or a creamy pasta. Roast chicken and seafood are great matches too.
