Terre Siciliane IGP, Sicily – Viognier & Chardonnay
The nose shows ripe stone fruit, floral aromatics, and a touch of honey. On the palate it is textured and medium-bodied with a bright acidity and a clean finish. A brief period on skins adds a bit of structure and depth without being heavy. Pairs well with grilled white fish, seared scallops, roasted cauliflower, creamy risotto, or a pork chop with lemon butter.
Grown in the commune of San Lorenzo on white calcareous soils in southeastern Sicily. Grapes are destemmed, crushed into concrete after a short time on skins, then rested for six months before light filtration and bottling. Farmed organically.
