Apple blossom and lemon zest on the nose give way to crushed stone and sage. The palate is silky and pliant with lively acidity, white peach, and tart orchard fruit — followed by a mineral salinity that keeps everything fresh and focused. Perfect with white-fleshed fish and seafood, asparagus with hollandaise, light pasta dishes, delicate white meats, soft cheeses, or simply as an elegant aperitif.
Cantina Girlan was founded in 1923 by 24 farming families. Today, 200 growers farm 230 hectares of glacial moraine and mineral-rich ice-age soils at 450–550 m. Wine ferments half in steel, half in large oak barrels, then ages 6 months on lees.
