Côtes de Bergerac, France – 53% Cabernet Franc, 45% Merlot, 2% Malbec
The nose opens with dark fruit such as cassis and black plum, threaded with cedar, graphite, and a whisper of dried herbs. The palate is structured and serious — firm tannins, real depth, and a long finish that lingers with earthy mineral character. Organically farmed on gravelly clay soils just east of Bordeaux, this is a wine built for the table. Wonderful with roasted lamb, duck confit, aged hard cheeses, or anything slow-cooked on a cold evening.
Vines planted on clay-limestone slopes in the commune of Monestier. Fermented slowly with indigenous yeasts, post-fermentation maceration 15–20 days. Certified organic (Ecocert). Biodynamic since 2018.
