Toro, Castilla y León, Spain – 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo)
Aromas of dark plum, wild blackberry, toasted oak, and cocoa with an earthy, peppery edge. The palate is bold and full-bodied with ripe dark fruit, firm but supple tannins, and a long, warm finish with hints of vanilla and leather. Perfect with slow-roasted lamb, ribeye, hearty stews, or aged Manchego.
Tinta de Toro is a thicker-skinned, ungrafted expression of Tempranillo unique to the Toro region of northwestern Spain, producing wines with deeper colour and more structure than Tempranillo found elsewhere.
