Montsant, Spain — 35% Garnacha, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cariñena
Aromas opening on ripe cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and a soft floral lift. Subtle oak and gentle toast frame the fruit without dominating. The palate is medium bodied, fruit driven, and rounded, with a refined ripeness and smooth, polished tannins. Pair with baked lamb and aromatic herbs, stews with prunes, sautéed wild mushrooms, black truffle and parmesan risotto, or caramelized onion tart with goat cheese.
Produced by a historic Montsant cooperative founded in 1933. While Mas Collet itself is not kosher certified, Capçanes remains one of Spain’s reference producers for kosher wines made under strict supervision. This winey is vegan friendly.
