Dão, Portugal – Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo), Jaen (aka Mencía), Alfrocheiro
Alluring aromas of crushed herbs and black pepper, giving way to smoky black fruit and earthy undertones. On the palate, it feels silky and fresh, featuring vibrant red and dark fruit flavours of cherry, plum, and wild berry it’s balanced by subtle spice and minerality. The finish is long and refined, marked by graceful tannins and lasting complexity. Excellent with cured meats, roasted poultry, mushrooms, or simple rustic dishes. A "less is more" philosophy and organic farming has lead to a key figure in Dão's modern winemaking.
