Situated in the southern tip of Burgundy's Mâconnais region, Pouilly-Fuissé is celebrated for its 100% Chardonnay wines that paint a vivid portrait of their terroir. Among the heralded producers, Eve & Michel Rey stand distinctively. They offer a palette of five Pouilly-Fuissé wines, each bearing the unique climate denomination, from the sun-soaked limestone soils of Les Crays and La Maréchaude on Vergisson's southern slope. To the Sur La Roche climate that exudes the character of its calcareous marl beds, while the old vines of Aux Charmes thrive in non-calcareous clay soils. Sitting at the highest altitude, En Buland vines clutch the north-western slopes of Solutré rock, drawing from its marl and calcareous reserves.

Their dedication to the land shines through not just in their wines but in their practices. With organic certification achieved in 2021, a testimony to their sustainable journey that began in the early 2000s, Eve & Michel Rey have consistently prioritized soil health, vine observation, and meticulous care.

Along with a Cheese & Charcuterie board from Peasant Cheese, one can expect wines with vibrant interplay of green and yellow fruits, complemented by subtle tropical hints. The region's limestone-rich soils introduce a pronounced minerality, evoking flinty or chalky nuances. With the influence of oak aging, there emerges a depth characterized by toasted notes of vanilla, nutty undertones, and warm spices. Balancing this complexity is a lively acidity and a medium to full body, crafting a wine that marries freshness with richness in each sip.
