Arbois, Jura, France
Wonderfully pretty aromas of acacia flowers, granny smith apples, quince, fresh orchard fruit. Mineral-based notes on the palate with lemon zest, lime, peach, hawthorn, ginger and acacia notes. The mouthfeel is round and soft with elegant freshness. 12.5% abv. Suggested serving at 12° and 14°C.
Serve as an aperitif with gougères (pastry mixed with cheese), crustaceans seafood, try it with poultry, or mushrooms or leeks in cream sauce. It will also be perfect with, a beautiful fish and of course all cheeses from the French Jura area : Comté, Morbier, Mont d'Or.
***Please note this video was done in 2020. Nathalie & Jen have tasted it again this week and have updated the tasting notes. We noted the great freshness of green fruit, limey citrus, and ginger with a nice round weighty texture and bright acidity on the palate. This was hard to place but we decided to place this in our MELLOW section.
What do you think? Should it be in MELLOW or CRISP? Tell us!***
