Ventoux, Rhône Valley, France - 80% Clairette, the remaining 20% is a blend of Viognier and Roussanne.
The nose is delicately floral, offering aromas of white blossoms and ripe peach. On the palate, notes of hawthorn and verbena accompany the characteristic jasmine flavours, culminating in a subtle aniseed finish. An excellent match for seafood dishes such as skate with beurre blanc or pike-perch fillet with morels. It also pairs beautifully with fresh oysters or goat cheese and honey toasts, or of course lemon poppyseed macarons.
